Our opening hours are as follows:

Sylvestrian Leisure Centre has a wide range of facilities available for hire or use.

Christmas and New Year: Please note, the Centre will close from 6pm on Sunday 22nd December 2024 and will reopen on Thursday 2nd January 2025. The Centre will be open from 8am until 1pm only, until Sunday 5th January 2025. We will resume operating at our normal opening and closing times from Monday 6th January 2025.

During the School day the Fitness Studio has restricted hours when classes are in progress. These change termly in accordance with the School programme. See above for the timetable

Parking Restrictions:

There are Controlled Parking Zones on the following roads surrounding Forest School/Sylvestrian Leisure Centre:

The Forest
Oakhurst Gardens
Forest Rise
College Place

The CPZ will be operational Monday – Friday between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00. If you park in a CPZ during its hours of operation, unfortunately you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.
Customers attending the Leisure Centre outside of these hours will not be affected and the Leisure Centre car park is available as usual evenings and weekends. If you do attend SLC during the CPZ hours of operation, we encourage you to walk, cycle or take public transport.

Facility Hire:

Sports Hall, Gymnasium, Cricket Suite and Outdoor Courts can be hired from 18:00 until 21:00, Monday to Friday, and at weekends between 08:00 and 18:00.
